Job Description:
With continued growth across NSW, we have opened an opportunity for a Fire Safety Engineer within our Buildings & Places team in Sydney. This would suit either a Senior Engineer or someone close to achieving that milestone in their career
How you'll make a difference
- Providing substantial technical expertise of fire engineering, from first principles to the ability of leading a large-scale fire engineering projects from concept stage through to building occupation.
- Project and client relationship management across a variety of markets
- Use your significant expertise in developing performance-based fire engineering strategies across a wide range of buildings and infrastructure projects.
- Mentor team members in their development, facilitate opportunities that build competency, and assisting with professional accreditation where appropriate.

- 5+ years' experience as a Fire Safety Engineer.
- A relevant Engineering qualification (preferably in Fire Engineering) alongside a thorough understanding of the Building Code of Australia and the Australian Fire Engineering Guidelines.
- A record of leading fire engineering projects and leading negotiations with approval authorities to gain acceptance of the performance-based design.
- Prior experience in the preparation of Performance Based Design Briefs, Fire Engineering Reports and Fire Engineering Strategies.
