WSP Sydney is on the lookout for a vibrant and enthusiastic Senior Fire Protection Engineer to join our growing team. What You'll Do
As a Senior Fire Protection Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of design excellence, leading fire protection strategies across diverse and exciting projects. You'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams,
mentor junior engineers,
and help drive our Sydney office's growth and innovation.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Leading fire protection design (wet and dry systems) across complex projects, ensuring compliance with Australian Standards, NCC, and client expectations.
  • Driving innovation and best practice in fire protection engineering, delivering high-quality documentation and cost-effective solutions.
  • Building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, representing WSP with confidence and professionalism.
  • Identifying new opportunities and contributing to business development in the Sydney market.
  • Mentoring junior engineers and fostering a collaborative, supportive team culture.
  • Bringing fresh thinking and a proactive mindset to every challenge.

About You
We're looking for someone who's not just experienced, but excited about what's next.

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical or equivalent) with 6+ years of experience in building services projects in Australia.
  • Strong technical expertise in fire protection design and documentation.
  • Familiarity with BIM tools such as Revit MEP and NavisWorks.
  • Consulting experience preferred, but we also welcome candidates from D&C backgrounds who are ready to step into a senior consulting role.
  • Excellent communication skills and a natural ability to connect with people.
  • A positive, energetic attitude and a genuine passion for engineering.
