Assistant Accountant - AAT Kings Group
Location: Bondi Junction (Hybrid)

About the Role
As our Assistant Accountant, you'll be a vital part of the Management Accounts team, assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and reporting functions. You'll also be integral in ensuring correct accounting from the  Accounts Receivable function and play an active role in improving processes and supporting business partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily and weekly Treasury functions and cash flow reporting
  • Produce monthly cost centre reports for Business Unit Managers
  • Prepare and post month-end journals; review entries from the reservations system (TMS/Tropics)
  • Reconcile key balance sheet accounts (bank, intercompany, CIA, BSP and others)
  • Review, code and process overhead invoices and Concur expenses
  • Monitor and correct outstanding items in the reservations systems (TMS & Tropics) when reconciling CIA
  • Support year-end audit preparation and reporting
  • Identify and drive process improvements across the department where evident
  • From time to time assist in processing crew commission reports and liaise with Payroll, HR and Operations

What We're Looking For

  • 3-5 years' experience in accounting and commercial exposure
  • Strong knowledge of month-end reporting and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and a proactive mindset
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work across teams
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills (intermediate)
  • Experience with Oracle, Tropics or TMS is an advantage
