The Eastlake Group comprises of Eastlake Football Club, Eastlake Calwell, Eastlake Gungahlin, Eastlake Events, Cornerstone Pub (Gungahlin) and the Eastlake Demons, whom proudly participate in the local AFL fixture.

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Full Time - Finance Officer (Payroll & Accounts Receivable). Reporting to the Group Financial Controller.

This role will be integral in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in financial reconciliations, accounts receivable, payroll processing, and financial reporting, as well as be comfortable working with multiple software systems.

Criteria/Key Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll on a weekly basis, following Payroll Weekly Processing Procedures.
  • Daily maintenance of Payroll email inbox and promptly respond to staff and software support enquiries.
  • Process monthly superannuation payments , following the Superannuation Payment Procedures.
  • Undertake daily bank reconciliations using Xero
  • Raise monthly invoices for rental and sponsorship arrangements
  • Email monthly debtors' statement of accounts to debtors, highlighting long outstanding invoices.
  • Liaise with Event Coordinator for debt collection of unpaid invoices.
  • Review debtors report and promptly resolve outstanding invoices.

The ideal person

  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to relate to and communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • High standard of presentation, organised, high level of accuracy and time management.
  • Self-motivated with initiative, a team player and you have a positive and problem solving approach to you work.

Formal Qualifications/Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a finance environment
  • Minimum of Certificate IV – Financial Services
  • Intermediate computer and Excel skills
  • The position is Monday – Friday 9am - 5pm/8:30am - 4:30pm.
