About the role

We are seeking a reliable and passionate Poultry Farm Hand to join our team at South Toolburra Farms in Pratten, Queensland. On going casual role, this position will involve hands-on work in the day-to-day operations of our poultry farm. If you have a passion for agriculture and animal care, this is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the success of our family-owned farm.

What you'll be doing

  • Assisting with the feeding, watering and general care of our poultry flocks
  • Monitoring the health and well-being of the birds, and reporting any issues to the Farm Manager
  • Maintaining the cleanliness and biosecurity of the poultry sheds and equipment
  • Supporting the team with other general farm duties as required

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience working on a poultry farm or in a similar agricultural role desired but not essential as all training provided.
  • Suit a Warwick local, as no accomodation availble on farm.
  • We are looking for long term employees.
  • Strong animal husbandry skills and a demonstrable passion for animal welfare
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow standard operating procedures
  • Good physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour tasks
  • A team-oriented approach and the willingness to contribute to the overall success of the farm
  • Must have own vehicle and drivers licence, as there is no public transport.
