About the role

This full-time OOSH Educator position at RYDE EAST OOSH, in the grounds of East Ryde Public School, offers an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and supportive team, dedicated to providing exceptional before and after-school care for children. As an OOSH Educator, you will play a crucial role in creating a nurturing, engaging, and enriching environment for the children in our care.

What you'll be doing

  • Supervise and ensure the safety and wellbeing of children in our OOSH program
  • Plan and deliver a diverse range of educational and recreational activities to meet the developmental needs of the children
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing updates on their child's progress and addressing any concerns
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, adhering to all relevant policies and regulations
  • Collaborate with the OOSH team to continually improve the program and create a positive, inclusive environment
  • Assist in the overall operation of the OOSH service, including set-up, pack-down, and administrative tasks as required

What we're looking for

  • Relevant qualifications in childcare, education, or a related field
  • Experience working with children in an OOSH or similar setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and adapt to changing situations
  • A passion for creating engaging and enriching experiences for children
  • A current Working with Children Check and First Aid certification
