MGC Heavy Mechanical is a family-run company based in Bathurst, specialising in servicing a diverse range of earthmoving and fleet machinery across the Central West region. With a focus on civil construction, mining/quarry divisions, and other sectors; we offer comprehensive mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic diagnostics and maintenance solutions.

About the role:

We are seeking a talented individual to join our team as a Field Service Mechanic. The role is Monday to Friday with additional hours available. This full-time position offers you the chance to work on a diverse range of heavy machinery in an autonomous environment, with the support of a highly skilled and experienced leader.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Self-management and prioritisation of tasks liaising with manager and clients.
  • Conducting breakdown support and preventative maintenance.
  • Maintaining detailed records of work performed and parts used.
  • Performing servicing, diagnostics, and parts ordering.
  • Adhering to WHS procedures and company policies.

Requirements:

  • Attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Ability to think critically and problem-solve.
  • Desire for growth and success.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Proficiency with computerised maintenance management systems.
  • Relevant trade qualifications.
  • MR/HR license desirable or willingness to obtain one.
  • Sound knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
  • Auto Electrical dual qualification or willingness to obtain one highly desired.
