About the role

Join the School's team of Human Resource specialists, known internally as the Employee Engagement Department. The team is dedicated to providing a full range of HR services to all our employees across 4 campuses, and developing processes and systems to enable effective and optimal HR service delivery. We want to deliver exceptional customer service, and are comfortable with innovation / trial and error, whilst always seeking to develop and streamline, with a focus on continuous improvement.

With varied responsibilities, in a typical day you might:

  • Participate in an interview panel for a Gardener, Teacher, Marketing professional or any of our diverse positions,
  • Review the Enterprise Agreement or Award to answer a query about terms and conditions,
  • Collaborate internally on a policy or project under development,
  • Plan an induction or other training sessions,
  • Creatively develop a strategy to attract boarding staff,
  • Complete a proposal to pitch a new idea that you have,
  • Conduct a misconduct investigation,
  • Prepare a return-to-work plan,
  • Meet with a team member who would like to explore flexible work options or who is seeking advice on how to have a challenging conversation with a co-worker; and/or
  • Work with a Manager to plan the follow up session for their team's engagement and wellbeing survey results

    A strong knowledge of industrial and employee relations
  • An ability to lead and coordinate projects
  • A strong understanding of organisational development and talent management
  • Experience in developing policies and procedures
  • A positive attitude and an authentic, passionate, resilient, courageous, curious and compassionate character
  • Your high level interpersonal and relationship management skills, customer focus and ability to fulfil multiple functions concurrently and effectively will enable your success in this position
