About the Company

Universal Cranes is a privately owned family business that operates mobile crane hire branches throughout Queensland and New South Wales. We have a fleet of 200 cranes ranging from 2.5T to 1200T, including minicranes, Frannas, all-terrains and crawler cranes. Universal Cranes began as a family crane hire business in 1993 and have grown to become a national crane hire company. We pride ourselves on maintaining a family business service culture while providing our clients with a national high-capacity fleet.

We are currently seeking an experienced Reception / Administration officer to join our friendly team.

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced, motivated and enthusiastic Reception/ Administration Officer to support our Universal Cranes operations in Brisbane. In this position you will work alongside a dynamic team to deliver a high level of service to our crane hire customers. Reporting to the Brisbane Branch Manager your duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Greeting and directing customer enquiries
  • Answering and forwarding incoming phone calls
  • Ensure the upkeep of visitor sign-in procedure
  • Manage credit card reimbursements and petty cash
  • Uniform / PPE ordering and maintenance
  • Booking / Managing travel arrangements
  • Raising Purchase Orders
  • Maintaining the office space and re-stocking office supplies
  • General administration duties

About you:

  • Previous experience in a Reception/ Administration role
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite
  • Exposure to Construction, Cranage, Transport or other relevant blue collar sectors is preferable but not essential
