SAP Identity and Access Management Subject Matter Expert

Employment Type: Labour-hire contract (Approx. 10 months with potential to extend)

Location: Melbourne, VIC

Hourly Pay Rate: Up to $1,200 per day including 12% superannuation

ABOUT THE ROLEAn exciting opportunity exists for an experienced SAP Identity and Access Management (IdAM) Subject Matter Expert to join a leading consulting organisation. In this role, you will provide specialist expertise in the design, configuration, and integration of identity and access management solutions across a complex SAP environment. You will play a key role in supporting S/4HANA RISE and Public Cloud implementations, ensuring secure, seamless, and efficient user access across hybrid SAP landscapes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the configuration and integration of SAP Cloud Identity Services (IAS/IPS) within S/4HANA RISE and Public Cloud environments.
  • Manage integrations with third-party Identity Providers (IdPs) such as Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) or equivalent.
  • Oversee downstream integrations across hybrid SAP landscapes, including S/4HANA, SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), and other SAP systems.
  • Collaborate with enterprise teams to ensure integration with Identity Management platforms such as SailPoint or SAP Identity Management.
  • Design and configure Single Sign-On (SSO) using SAP Cloud Identity Services.
  • Provide expert advice on IdAM architecture, security standards, and SAP access management best practices.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum2 years' experience working on S/4HANA RISE or Public Cloud implementations.
  • Strong experience in SAP Security and Authorisations within S/4HANA and SAP BTP.
  • Experience designing SAP roles using standard SAP role templates.
  • Proficiency with role collections in SAP BTP and their use in Business Role design for hybrid landscapes.
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA BRIM will be highly regarded.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and stakeholder engagement skills.
