As part of our strategic vision Scots to the Fore: Brave Hearts, Bold Minds, we aim to inspire boys to learn, lead and serve in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

The HR Administrator – ELMO Specialist (12-month fixed-term) is responsible for supporting the delivery of high-quality HR services across the College, with a strong focus on maintaining and optimising the ELMO HRIS platform. This role plays an integral part in enhancing the employee experience by ensuring efficient onboarding, compliance, and HR system processes aligned to the College's values and strategic priorities.

The HR Administrator supports the broader HR team and College leaders in the implementation of consistent and effective HR practices, contributing to the day-to-day operations of the HR function. This includes system management, recruitment and onboarding coordination, and providing first-line support on HR-related queries, ensuring alignment with the College's values and people strategy.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking and supportive workplace that values integrity, collaboration, and professional growth.

What you'll be doing:

  • Overseeing the ELMO HRIS, ensuring accurate data entry, user support, report generation, and system optimisation across onboarding, learning, compliance, and performance modules.

  • Supporting recruitment and onboarding processes for new staff, ensuring a smooth and professional experience from start to finish.

  • Assisting with the coordination of training and development activities, including maintaining training records and helping with scheduling.

  • Preparing HR documentation such as employment contracts, letters, and reports, and ensuring files are up-to-date and compliant.

  • Maintaining and updating HR systems and employee records with a strong attention to detail.

  • Providing first-line HR support to employees and managers with day-to-day queries related to policies, entitlements, and procedures.

  • Assisting in the review and maintenance of HR policies and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and internal standards.

  • Supporting key projects and initiatives led by the HR Manager.

What we are looking for:

  • 2–4 years' experience in an HR Administrator or Coordinator role, ideally within a school or similar compliance-focused setting.

  • Hands-on expertise with ELMO is essential - especially in managing onboarding, training, compliance, and reporting features.

  • A keen eye for detail and a high level of accuracy when handling confidential employee records and contracts.

  • A warm, approachable nature with a strong customer service mindset.

  • High level of attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.

  • Confidence using HRIS systems and Google Workspace.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • A team player who enjoys working in a collaborative and supportive environment.

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources (or working towards one) is highly regarded.

What do we offer?

  • A culture that cultivates a body of graduates who are well-rounded, successful men of faith and independent mind who influence their nation for the greater good and who strive to be worthy of their forefathers.

  • An institution that seeks to serve God faithfully, through our core values and culture.

  • Personal development and growth opportunities.

  • A constructive and supportive work environment in which all staff members are valued.

  • Financial and non-financial rewards and incentives.

  • Free barista morning coffee and lunches.

  • Employee Assistance Programs.

  • Access to The Scots College bus transport system.

  • Access to medical services.

  • Free access to the college gym.

  • Salary packaging.
