Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Home & Garden Maintenance Worker to join our team in North Macksville, NSW.

This hands-on role combines general house cleaning with routine outdoor maintenance to keep homes and yards safe, organised, and well-presented.

Key Responsibilities

As a Home & Garden Maintenance Worker, you will:

  • Carry out general household cleaning, including:
  • Deep cleaning kitchens and bathrooms during first-time visits.
  • Mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and cleaning internal surfaces.
  • Non-specialist mould removal, laundry tidy, and bin management.
  • Regular weekly upkeep of floors, bathrooms, and living areas.
  • Provide basic garden and yard maintenance, including:
  • Sweeping paths, tidying outdoor areas, and light weeding.
  • Bagging green waste and cleaning pet areas (chicken pen, yard).
  • Removing minor debris and ensuring a safe environment.
  • Follow workplace safety procedures, including:
  • Proper handling of cleaning products and chemicals.
  • Wearing PPE and observing manual-handling techniques.
  • Reporting incidents, hazards, or client safety concerns promptly.
  • Maintain professionalism by respecting client property and ensuring all work meets The Well Team's quality standards.

What You'll Need

  • Australian Business Number (ABN) – active and registered
  • Public Liability Insurance
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check – current and valid
  • Working with Children Check (Blue Card) – current and valid
  • Driver's licence and reliable vehicle - preferred but not required
  • Vaccination declaration – Flu and COVID-19 status must be disclosed
  • Understanding of basic WHS and chemical safety practices
