THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking an experienced residential Construction Manager to join our team in the Eastern Suburbs of Victoria, on a full-time, on-going basis. As Construction Manager, your primary focus is to manage a team of Site Managers as well as the construction schedule of custom/luxury home builds and multi unit developments, from pre site start through to the final inspection and maintenance stage. Reporting to an experienced and supportive Management Team, some key accountabilities of this role include:

  • Coordinate and review Pre site paperwork. (Engineering, Architectural, Permits, consultant reports, etc.)
  • Create, maintain and update the construction programme/schedule across all jobs.
  • Management of Site Managers.
  • Ensuring projects are completed within contractural time frames.
  • Identify risks early and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Build strong and ongoing working relationships with construction team, trades and suppliers.
  • Assist in rectifying compliance based issues, both pre and on site.
  • Source and procure trades and suppliers.

WHO YOU ARE

Ideally, we're looking for someone who has:

  • Experience with Scheduling software. (MS Project, Smartsheet or Buildertrend are desirable.)
  • Recent experience, background and history in the Melbourne residential construction industry. (Mandatory.)
  • Strong technical understanding of the lifecycle of residential construction, from conception to completion.
  • Experience with Luxury and Multi-Million dollar builds.
  • Experience with pools, tennis courts and basements. (Advantageous but not required)
  • Strong understanding of Australian building regulations, Standards and Tolerances and OHS requirements.
  • Solid project management skills.
  • Strong time management skills.
