Metro Trains Level Crossing Removal Team (MLXRT) currently have a number of opportunities for an experienced
**Human Factors Advisors **to support & work closely with the MLXRT Safety, Environment, Risk and Quality (SERQ) Team and Projects Delivery teams as part of the Level Crossing Removal Program.
Key focus as a Human Factors Advisor is to collaborate with nominated level crossing removal design teams, Metro and other stakeholders to integrate end user human factors considerations in the design of rail systems and facilities, stations, car parks, and landscaped public spaces. For both the temporary construction phase, and for the final delivered facilities, your role will identify and evaluate the human factors risks and issues for end user groups that include Metro’s train drivers, operations and maintenance staff, passengers and other general public user groups.
These positions are offered on a full-time permanent basis, based from a nominated Project Office within the Melbourne Metropolitan Region with flexible working arrangements on offer.
**Key Areas of Responsibility**
- Provide assurance of human factors integration and HFI deliverables at Project level in accordance with Metro’s HF Integration procedure and Management of Change process, on behalf of Metro in support of the Projects & Planning team.
- Set requirements for human factors integration into nominated projects and monitor compliance
- Provide assurance of human factors integration and deliverables at a Project level
- Direct and conduct human factors analysis at Project level, including task analysis, workload analysis, sightline assessments
- Prepare HF reports, including HF assessment reports, assurance reports and post-implementation reviews
- Capture and manage HF risks derived from Projects to establish lessons learned, identify commonalities and maintain continuous improvement for the Business
- Undertake HF awareness-raising activities with internal and external Project teams and stakeholders as needed to support early and effective HFI
**About You**
- A tertiary qualification in Human Factors, Ergonomics, Engineering or related field.
- Experience in integrating human centred principles into project design advantageous
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and staff (verbal and written)
- Ability to identify and analyse risks, and make corrective actions
- Ability to manage complex situations and have well developed problem solving and negotiating skills
