THE ROLE:

Working for a residential builder, you will be part of a larger team effort, where you are more than just a number Reporting to the Estimating Manager your duties will include, but not limited to:

  • Thorough documentation review prior to site start, ensuring working drawings, specifications, HIA contract and post contract variations are aligned.
  • Effectively communicate feedback throughout internal teams to ensure documentation quality is being maintained / improved.
  • Undertake a detailed margin analysis prior to site start.
  • Identify extra to order (ETO) trends within the Operation and Construction teams to assist in the overall business ETO reduction.
  • Ensure sales estimates are compliant and satisfy all building codes, energy efficiency requirements, developer guidelines and local authority requirements.
  • Ensure quality, accuracy, consistency and completeness of quotations and costings.
  • Excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders working closely with all internal and supporting teams.

IDEAL *CANDIDATE:*

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role as a Production estimator - must have at least 2 years volume residential experience.
  • Have at least 1 year in Medium density/KDR ideal
  • At least 2 years estimating experience with DATABUILD.
  • Exceptional quality of work and eye for detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Diploma of Building or equivalent tertiary qualification is advantageous
  • Understanding of the Victorian residential construction building codes and regulations.
