Duty Manager – Kempsey Macleay RSL Club

Location: Kempsey, NSW – right on the beautiful Macleay River

Kempsey Macleay RSL Club is looking for an experienced and motivated Duty Manager to join our team and help drive exceptional service and seamless operations at our iconic riverside venue.

About the Role

As a Duty Manager, you'll play a critical role in the day-to-day management of our Club. From leading staff to ensuring member satisfaction, your leadership and problem-solving skills will help us continue being a place the community is proud of.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing the daily operations of the Club
  • Cash handling, reconciliation and end-of-day processing
  • Ensuring the comfort, safety and enjoyment of members and guests
  • Adhering to company policies, procedures and all legislative requirements
  • Monitoring and mentoring team performance and productivity
  • Supporting and unifying our various departments to ensure smooth operations
  • Handling customer complaints and resolving conflict with professionalism
  • Promoting and maintaining WHS principles

About You

You're a confident and capable leader with the ability to remain calm under pressure. You take pride in leading by example and creating a positive environment for both staff and patrons.

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • Experience in a supervisory or management role in a high-volume, fast-paced venue
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Proven ability to manage a team and make confident, effective decisions
  • Computer skills (Microsoft Office and POS systems)
  • A high standard of personal presentation
  • Current RSA, RCG, Adv RCG and First Aid qualifications (required)

Availability: You must be flexible and available to work across a 7-day rotating roster, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
