Disability Support Worker – Opendoor

Work type: Casual, 20 hours per week

We're currently seeking Disability Support Workers to join our team, working alongside the NDIS Operations Manager and Rostering Coordinator to deliver high-quality, person-centred support.

What you'll do:

• Support people with disabilities to engage in recreational, social, and educational activities.
• Empower individuals to learn new skills, practice existing ones, and set achievable goals.
• Implement and maintain Person Centred Plans that reflect each individual's needs and aspirations.
• Provide assistance to access community and recreation facilities.
• Maintain accurate participation and progress records, ensuring confidentiality at all times.
• Collaborate with other team members to provide a consistent, high-quality service.
• Work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, to meet participant needs.

What you'll bring:

• Essential:

• Current Victorian Driver Licence

• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Current Working With Children Check
• First Aid Level 2 Certificate

• Desirable:

• Certificate III/IV in Disability or equivalent

• Medication Administration, Manual Handling, and Infection Control training
• A passion for supporting people with disabilities and upholding their rights.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt to different audiences.
• Ability to work independently, use initiative, and solve problems effectively.
• Professional, team-oriented approach with a sound understanding of person-centred practice.
• Solid computer literacy and attention to detail.
