The Office of the Deputy Under Treasurer, Fiscal, Economics and Commercial oversees the economics, fiscal and commercial functions within Treasury as well as the State Actuary's Office, Financial Provisioning Scheme, and the Queensland Government Statistician's Office.

As a Senior Executive Officer (AO7), you will provide operational and corporate support, advice, and coordination services to the Deputy Under Treasurer and across all work units in the Fiscal, Economics and Commercial Group. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with executive leadership and make a meaningful contribution to Queensland Treasury's strategic objectives.

In This Role, You Will

  • Provide operational and corporate support to the Deputy Under Treasurer and leadership team.
  • Manage day-to-day finance, HR, and business operations for the Fiscal, Economics and Commercial Group.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare high-quality reports, submissions, and correspondence under tight deadlines.
  • Monitor emerging issues and provide strategic advice to leadership.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance resource management and decision-making.

  • Demonstrated experience in managing priorities.
