About the Role
The Senior Business Development Manager, Corporate Growth plays a pivotal role in driving Insignia Financials' growth in the institutional and corporate market. The role is responsible for building trusted relationships with medium-to-large organisations and their advisers, understanding their evolving financial and employee benefit needs, and designing solutions that deliver measurable value. Through an insights-led sales approach, the Senior Manager Corporate Growth will develop and execute growth strategies that increase market share, strengthen client loyalty, and position Insignia Financial as a partner of choice in corporate superannuation, workplace financial wellbeing, and related solutions.
*Note that the internal role title is Senior Manager, Corporate Growth
Key Responsibilities:
- Originate, develop, and convert new business opportunities with medium-to-large corporate clients across Australia, using a structured sales process and AI-enabled prospect intelligence.
- Deliver annual revenue, pipeline, and market share targets through disciplined pipeline management, evidence-based forecasting, and a consistent enterprise sales methodology.
- Apply an insight-led sales approach, leveraging data, industry research, and AI-driven client intelligence to position Insignia Financials' differentiated value proposition.
- Design and deliver tailored client solutions addressing needs in superannuation, financial wellbeing, and employee engagement, using advanced proposal automation tools where appropriate.
- Build and sustain trusted C-suite relationships with HR, Finance, and business leaders, positioning Insignia Financial as a strategic partner rather than a vendor.
- Act as a trusted advisor, translating client strategy, workforce challenges, and industry trends into actionable solutions.
- Ensure seamless client experience by overseeing structured handover to implementation and service teams.
- Maintain market leadership knowledge by tracking superannuation, corporate benefits, and institutional finance trends, incorporating global benchmarks and emerging digital practices.
- Represent Insignia Financial at industry forums, executive roundtables, and thought-leadership platforms to enhance market presence and brand equity.
- Continuously uplift sales standards by benchmarking against global best practices in enterprise sales, sales enablement, and digital engagement tools.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, and Client teams to co-design compelling go-to-market strategies.
- Support executive reporting with accurate, real-time pipeline forecasting, client feedback loops, and competitor intelligence generated through CRM and AI.
- Model ethical, client-first practices aligned with regulatory and compliance standards, embedding transparency and trust at every stage of the sales cycle.
- Foster a culture of accountability, performance, and continuous improvement within the Corporate Growth team, embedding a growth mindset and innovation focus.
- Mentor and coach colleagues, transferring knowledge of world-class B2B sales disciplines, enterprise relationship management, and AI-enabled sales practices.
- Maximise the use of CRM and AI tools to deepen client understanding, personalise engagement, and craft value propositions that resonate with decision-makers.
What you will bring:
- Proven success in enterprise B2B sales, ideally within financial services, employee benefits, or institutional distribution.
- RG146 compliant, with a strong understanding of asset classes including equities, fixed income, and alternatives.
- A strategic mindset, with the ability to translate client needs and market trends into actionable solutions.
- Experience using CRM and AI tools to personalise engagement and forecast pipeline performance.
- A collaborative spirit and leadership capability to mentor peers and uplift sales standards.
