Active Support Australia is seeking motivated support workers to work across shifts that can include weekends.
The available shifts are
Springfield Lakes QLD 4300
- 9am to 5pm - Monday to Sunday
- 5pm to 9am - Monday to Sunday (Inactive Sleepover)
Burpengary QLD 4505
- 6am to 2pm - Monday to Sunday
- 12pm to 8pm - Monday to Sunday
- 6pm to 10pm - Monday to Sunday (Training Shift)
- 10pm to 8am - Monday to Sunday (active overnight support)
Redcliffe QLD 4020
- 8am to 3pm - Monday to Sunday
- 3pm to 10pm - Monday to Sunday
- 10pm to 8am - Monday to Sunday (active overnight support)
Bundall QLD 4217
- 9am to 5pm - Monday to Sunday
- 5pm to 9am - Monday to Sunday (Inactive Sleepover)

The Role
- Provide compassionate high-quality care.
- Assistance with medication
- Assistance with psychosocial support, appointments, and domestic tasks such as cleaning and cooking.
- Personal Care.
- Monitoring the well-being of clients and reporting on their progress.
- Community access activities.
- Full-time equivalent casual regular hours for the right candidate.

- Experienced in general housekeeping and cleaning duties.
- Able to follow procedures and ensure the clients' personal preferences are adhered to.
- Confident communicator who can maintain professional boundaries with clients and their families.
Essentials
- Diabetes Management – Proficient in Insulin Administration
- Dysphagia Management
- Available for day and night shifts.
- Manual Handling Experience (Hoist)
- Experience in doing personal care
- Fully Covid-19 Vaccinated as per QLD Government Regulations.
- Current driver's licence & Mobile Phone.
- A Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent disability related qualifications.
- Current First Aid/CPR Certificate.
- Current Working with Children Blue Card.
- Current and satisfactory Criminal History Check or a National Police Certificate (or willing to obtain).
- Current Yellow Card or NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module 'Quality, Safety & You' completion certificate (visit NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission ) to access this free module). At completion of the course, you will be provided with a certificate of completion which you can forward to
Desirable
- Experience with any of the following – Mental Health, Dysphagia Management, Personal Care, Medication Management, Hoisting/Manual handling, Nursing support and good understanding of Restrictive Practice.
