Active Support Australia is seeking motivated support workers to work across shifts that can include weekends.

The available shifts are

Springfield Lakes QLD 4300

  • 9am to 5pm - Monday to Sunday
  • 5pm to 9am - Monday to Sunday (Inactive Sleepover)

Burpengary QLD 4505

  • 6am to 2pm - Monday to Sunday
  • 12pm to 8pm - Monday to Sunday
  • 6pm to 10pm - Monday to Sunday (Training Shift)
  • 10pm to 8am - Monday to Sunday (active overnight support)

Redcliffe QLD 4020

  • 8am to 3pm - Monday to Sunday
  • 3pm to 10pm - Monday to Sunday
  • 10pm to 8am - Monday to Sunday (active overnight support)

Bundall QLD 4217

  • 9am to 5pm - Monday to Sunday
  • 5pm to 9am - Monday to Sunday (Inactive Sleepover)

The Role

  • Provide compassionate high-quality care.
  • Assistance with medication
  • Assistance with psychosocial support, appointments, and domestic tasks such as cleaning and cooking.
  • Personal Care.
  • Monitoring the well-being of clients and reporting on their progress.
  • Community access activities.
  • Full-time equivalent casual regular hours for the right candidate.

  • Experienced in general housekeeping and cleaning duties.

Essentials

  • Diabetes Management – Proficient in Insulin Administration
  • Dysphagia Management
  • Available for day and night shifts.
  • Manual Handling Experience (Hoist)
  • Experience in doing personal care
  • Fully Covid-19 Vaccinated as per QLD Government Regulations.
  • Current driver's licence & Mobile Phone.
  • A Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent disability related qualifications.
  • Current First Aid/CPR Certificate.
  • Current Working with Children Blue Card.
  • Current and satisfactory Criminal History Check or a National Police Certificate (or willing to obtain).
  • Current Yellow Card or NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module 'Quality, Safety & You' completion certificate (visit NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission ) to access this free module). At completion of the course, you will be provided with a certificate of completion which you can forward to 

Desirable

  • Experience with any of the following – Mental Health, Dysphagia Management, Personal Care, Medication Management, Hoisting/Manual handling, Nursing support and good understanding of Restrictive Practice.
