The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and dynamic Manufacturing/Warehouse Operator to join a successful, growing business The Manufacturing/Warehouse Operator is responsible for manufacturing HVAC products, assisting in the supply chain process, handling vendor and customer orders and interactions, adhering to safety regulations and checking all packages in and out for quality assurance.  If you are detail orientated, possess basic math skills and are physically fit, this is the role for you

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the running of an efficient manufacturing/warehouse that meets operational and customer demand as well as set targets
  • Be willing to be hands on and to work as a Machine/Warehouse operator in both areas of the business
  • Understands and adheres to work orders or procedural instructions appropriate for each job, function, or assignment before commencing work
  • Performs any specified quality assurance checks designated for each job, function, or assignment
  • Unload containers and manufacture items as instructed
  • Fulfil and book freight in Netsuite as require
  • Liaise with customers, suppliers, and transport companies as required
  • Ensure stock movements are recorded accurately and participate in regular stock-takes
  • Ensure that all lifting and movement of products/materials is carried out in accordance with manual handling procedures and hazardous materials are stored in accordance with requirements
  • Maintain a clean and tidy working environment and comply with all health, safety and environmental regulations
  • Ensure that vehicles, machinery, and equipment is fit for purpose prior to use
  • Attend regular toolbox meetings, proactively contribute to lean implementation tasks and the team's development

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally in sheet metal fabrication or cabinetry, CNC machine knowledge would be an advantage
  • Physically fit with the ability to move and lift assembled products in adherence with OHS and manual handling techniques
  • A current unencumbered driver's and forklift licence
  • A deadline driven individual with effective time management and prioritisation skills
  • Excellent attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
  • A strong communicator with well developed interpersonal and engagement skills
  • Proficient computer skills, in particular with Microsoft office
  • Experience with warehouse management systems will be highly regarded
