Behaviour Support Practitioner

About Us
At Grow Therapy Services, we believe behaviour is communication — and that true change happens when people feel safe, seen, and understood.
We're a neuro-affirming, family-centred, and trauma-informed practice, supporting neurodivergent children, young people, and adults across the Pilbara. Guided by our evidence-based GROW Neuroaffirming Behaviour Framework, we focus on identity, communication, sensory needs, and relationships to help individuals thrive in ways that feel right for them.
We do things a little differently — valuing curiosity over compliance, collaboration over hierarchy, and learning over perfection.
We are expanding our team in Karratha and are looking for an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner who wants to make a meaningful difference in regional Western Australia.
Why Grow Therapy Services?
We know that providing great support starts with feeling supported yourself.
You'll be joining a workplace that celebrates diversity of minds and lived experiences, where neurodivergent staff are not only welcome — they're valued for the insight, creativity, and authenticity they bring to the work.
We've built a culture grounded in psychological safety, reflective supervision, and genuine teamwork. We're committed to helping our practitioners grow, learn, and sustain long-term, meaningful careers in behaviour support — without burnout.
Your Role
You'll deliver holistic, human-rights-based Positive Behaviour Support using our neuroaffirming GROW approach, across home, school, and community environments.
Your day-to-day may include:
• Conducting functional behaviour assessments and developing high-quality BSPs that focus on why behaviour occurs
• Supporting families and teams to understand behaviour through a neurodivergent and trauma-informed lens
• Coaching support workers, teachers, and caregivers using strengths-based and relational strategies
• Collaborating with allied professionals (OT, Psych, Speech, DE) to ensure consistent and coordinated care
• Reflecting, learning, and growing through supervision and shared practice discussions
About You
You are a compassionate, curious professional who brings both clinical skill and humanity to your work.
You might also identify as neurodivergent yourself, or bring lived experience as a parent, carer, or community advocate — if so, we especially encourage you to apply.
To thrive in this role, you'll have:
- Minimum 3+ years' experience delivering Positive Behaviour Support or similar clinical role
- Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Behavioural Science, Developmental Education, OT, or related discipline
- Current NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner registration
- Strong written communication and teamwork skills
- A reflective, collaborative approach to practice
- Current clearances (NDIS Worker Screening, WWCC, Police Check) and driver's licence
What We Offer
• Flexible hours – choose part-time or full-time
• Competitive salary – $95,000–$125,000 + super + regional allowances
• Neuroaffirming supervision and professional development built into your schedule
• Low caseloads and paid admin time so you can do your best work
• Genuine work-life balance and a culture of care
• A safe space for learning, reflection, and growing your career long-term
How to Apply
If you believe every person deserves to be understood for who they are — not how they behave — we'd love to hear from you.
Please submit your CV and short cover letter via SEEK outlining:
- Your experience in PBS or disability practice
- Why neuroaffirming approaches matter to you
- Your preferred work hours (part-time or full-time)
Applications will be reviewed as received — early applications encouraged.
A Final Word
We know that experience comes in many forms.
Whether you've worked in the sector for years or bring valuable lived experience to the role — if our mission resonates with you, we want to hear from you.
At Grow Therapy Services, you don't have to mask who you are to make a difference.
You just have to care, stay curious, and be willing to grow.
