The Role

As a Legal Support Officer (Level 2), you will provide ODPP staff, including Solicitors, and Crown Prosecutors with high quality administrative support in the delivery of an effective and efficient prosecution service. Opportunities are available in both our Gosford and Newcastle offices

A talent pool will be created to fill current and future vacancies in our Gosford and Newcastle ODPP offices that may arise over the next 18 months.

Key accountabilities:

  • Register, maintain, and update matters and files, ensuring accurate electronic and physical records.
  • Prepare and organise briefs of evidence, file notes, exhibits, witnesses, court lists, and related documentation.
  • Coordinate diaries, meetings, and conferences to support solicitors and Crown Prosecutors.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders, including police, legal practitioners, witnesses, and court registry staff, to exchange information and provide assistance.
  • Draft and manage correspondence, perform general office duties, including photocopying, supply management, mail delivery, and occasional reception support as required.
