Brisbane Convention & Exhibition (BCEC) plays a significant role in Brisbane's growth by hosting over 1000 events per year and attracting national and international conferences to Brisbane. As a world-class venue, we do this by collaborating with Brisbane's business and innovation community to identify and target international events and conferences that 'shine a light' on Australia's world leading research and technology development.
BCEC offers Brisbane's most diverse range of event spaces, from boutique boardrooms to large scale exhibition halls. We provide destination bidding expertise to Brisbane's and Australia's leading researchers and industry leaders.
About you….
• You're a natural storyteller with a flair for crafting engaging, audience-focused content across digital and traditional platforms.
• You have a strong grasp of brand voice and know how to maintain consistency across all communications.
• You're confident writing everything from social media posts and email campaigns to case studies and internal comms.
• You're digitally savvy, with hands-on experience managing content calendars, social media platforms and using Mailchimp and wordpress.
• You enjoy collaborating with others and can confidently liaise with internal teams and external partners.
• You're curious, creative, and always looking for ways to improve content performance through data and insights.
• You thrive in a fast-paced environment and can juggle multiple projects with attention to detail and deadlines.
• You're proactive, solutions-focused, and passionate about delivering high-quality communications that make an impact.
About the role….
With a strong focus on storytelling, brand alignment and amplifying our digital channels, we are looking for a Content and Communications Specialist to support the development and execution of communication strategies, ensuring consistent messaging across social media, email, website and internal channels. The Content and Communications Specialist is a creative and strategic communicator responsible for crafting compelling content that elevates BCEC's brand across digital and traditional platforms.
The successful applicant will be required to provide the Centre with a National Police Certificate Name Only (Police Check).
