The Advisor Sustainability undertakes ongoing market monitoring and research, co-ordinates data for sustainability reporting and disclosures, and leads responses to external environmental, social and governance (ESG) ratings agencies. This includes drawing insight and providing recommendations for continuous improvement.

What You'll Do

  • Lead responses and submissions to selected ESG ratings agencies and memberships, including Suncorp's annual Corporate Sustainability Assessment.
  • Lead production and verification of the annual Sustainability Data Pack, including the management of assurance processes for non-financial targets.
  • Contribute sustainability-related content for the Annual Report and update relevant information on the Suncorp Group website.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to Suncorp's annual sustainability disclosures, including updates to non-financial metrics and targets, based on market research and sustainability reporting standards (e.g. GRI).
  • Mature the governance of non-financial metrics and targets, including formally documenting processes, definitions and ownership.
  • Assist with regular materiality assessments, including engagement with independent consultants and the management of stakeholder lists for internal and external engagement.
  • Monitor external sustainability developments and identify implications for Suncorp.
  • Develop and maintain a database of standard sustainability responses, position statements and key peer comparisons.

What You'll Bring

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in a business or sustainability-related discipline.
  • Experience in a similar position within financial services or related industry
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a sustainability-related role or function desirable
  • Experience with sustainability disclosures and reporting standards
  • Strong cross-functional stakeholder management experience
  • Ability to manage high-priority deliverables within tight deadlines
