We are seeking an HSE Advisor to join our client on a major multi-residential high-rise project in Brisbane. Working with an established national tier 2 builder, this role is pivotal in driving a culture of safety, ensuring compliance, and supporting site operations to deliver the project on time, and to a high standard.

The HSE Advisor will work closely with the Site Manager, Project Manager, and subcontractor teams to uphold workplace health and safety standards, provide practical guidance, and ensure the project environment remains safe, compliant, and sustainable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and monitor the site safety management plan.
  • Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
  • Facilitate site inductions, toolbox talks, and ongoing HSE training for staff and subcontractors.
  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and hazards, ensuring corrective actions are identified and followed through.
  • Assist in environmental compliance, including waste management, noise, and dust control measures.
  • Maintain accurate HSE documentation, registers, and reporting for project stakeholders.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in an HSE role, ideally on high-rise or large-scale residential projects.
  • Sound knowledge of WHS legislation, regulations, codes,
  • Confident ability to identify risks and provide workable solutions.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills to engage subcontractors and site staff.
  • Cert IV or Diploma in Work Health & Safety.
  • ICAM incident investigation training
  • First Aid & Fire Warden
