The Role:

We are seeking an experienced HSE Officer in Brisbane to collaborate with our in-house team of engineers, architects, and project managers in delivering high-quality projects across South East Queensland and Northern New South Wales.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Carry out investigations into all incidents and implement resulting OFIs
  • Ensure that Opportunities for Improvements are captured and managed
  • Ensure that the integrated management system stays effective when changes occur
  • Work alongside the Project and Site Managers to ensure that our projects meet the compliance levels required
  • Assist in the setting up of the projects physical and administrative needs in relation to Quality, Safety & Environment (e.g PMP & on-site establishment)
  • Assist in the assessment of Subcontractors SWEMS
  • Assist in the management of the sites safety, quality and environment on sites under the project managers requirements
  • Assist in the continuing and ongoing development of the Company's Integrated Quality, Health and Safety and Environment Management Systems in line with ISO45001, ISO14001, and ISO9001 standards
  • Report on the performance of the companies Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental aspects
  • Carry out internal Audits of Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental Aspects
  • Prepare & assist with external Audits of the Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental systems
  • Work with our in-house Design team to produce Design Risk Assessments

What You Bring:

  • Certification in IV Health and Safety
  • Proven experience in managing QHSE of multi-residential, industrial, and commercial construction projects.
  • Demonstrated experience working with ISO accreditation to Quality, Safety and Environment standards.
  • Previous experience in a similar position
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Current unrestricted Australian drivers licence.
  • Structural trade qualifications and site-based experience are seen as highly favourable
