About Us

At GC Therapy Hub, we specialise in delivering therapy-based social skills development programs for autistic children, teenagers, and young adults. Our programs are designed to build capacity in social skills, emotional regulation, and community inclusion, helping participants to thrive in real-world environments. We are a neuro-affirming practice that celebrates diversity and strengths in neurodivergent young people.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Allied Health Professional (e.g., Occupational Therapist, Speech Pathologist, Social Worker, Counsellor) to deliver therapy that truly makes a difference. The role is centred on capacity building for social skills, regulation, and community inclusion through both group-based and individual therapy.

  • School terms: Most programs run on weekday afternoons/evenings (typically 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm). Availability during these hours is essential.
  • School holiday programs: Full daytime availability is required during term breaks, as programs run throughout the day.
  • Group therapy focus: The majority of our programs are social skills group programs.
  • 1:1 sessions: You'll also deliver individual therapy tailored to client needs.
  • Active participation: Our programs involve sports, outings, and community-based activities — a medium level of fitness is required to actively participate alongside participants.
  • Transport component: Transporting clients to/from programs is essential to the role.
  • Flexible admin time: We offer flexible admin hours for clinical notetaking and report writing.
  • Growth pathway: This role has potential to transition to full-time, depending on service demand and your drive.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver therapy focused on social skills, emotional regulation, and community inclusion through both group programs and 1:1 session
  • Support the delivery of school holiday social programs for autistic children, teens, and young adults
  • Actively engage with participants in movement-based activities, sports, and community outings
  • Develop and implement client-centred therapeutic goals in collaboration with participants and families
  • Work alongside support workers, schools, and a multidisciplinary team
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation (notes, reports, goal reviews)
  • Participate in team meetings, case discussions, and program planning

About You

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Allied Health
  • Current registration with your governing professional association, e.g.:

  • AHPRA (Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Counsellors under psychology)

  • Speech Pathology Australia (SPA)
  • Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
  • Other equivalent governing body for your profession
  • Minimum 1year clinical experience (preferred)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; team-oriented and proactive
  • Passionate about supporting autistic young people to build independence, confidence, and social connections
  • Lived experience of neurodivergence, disability, or caring for a neurodivergent person is highly valued
  • Medium level of fitness and ability to actively participate in group activities, sports, and outings
  • Compliance requirements:

  • Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card)

  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • First Aid & CPR certification (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)
  • Licensing/transport: Valid driver's licence and access to a reliable, roadworthy vehicle suitable for client transport

What We Offer

  • Flexible Casual / Part-Time hours with capacity to grow
  • A supportive, inclusive, and values-driven team culture
  • Opportunities for professional development in autism and neurodiversity
  • Rewarding work that makes a tangible difference in young lives
