Visitor Information Centre Assistant

Hourly Rate: $34.90 per hour (plus 25% casual loading)  Closing:Friday 29 August 2025  Casual

An exciting opportunity exists to join the Greater Shepparton Visitor Services team on a casual basis. The Visitor Centre assistant is primarily responsible for delivering outstanding customer service and visitor experiences to visitors, event participants and residents of Greater Shepparton.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Be focussed on providing excellent customer service, demonstrating Council's values, enthusiasm and ensuring the delivery of best practice visitor servicing;
  • Possess a good knowledge of the local and surrounding areas;
  • Actively support the promotion of tourism within the Greater Shepparton region.
  • Be committed to enhancing Greater Shepparton's visitor experience by providing quality information and assisting the Visitor Centre's volunteers to do the same.

Your demonstrated excellence in delivering high-level customer service and ability to work flexibly and cooperatively with paid and volunteer team members will ensure visitors to Greater Shepparton have a memorable experience in our region. The Visitor Centre is open 7 days per week, so applicants must be available to work flexible hours including some weekends and public holidays.
