The Opportunity

Launched in 2021, the MEGT Foundation is a transformative initiative created by the MEGT Board to remove barriers to education through scolarships that combine financial support and wellbeing services.

As MEGT Foundation Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our Scholarship Program, directly contributing to the success of individuals and communities who need it most.

This is an exciting part-time opportunity where you'll work alongside the MEGT Foundation Manager to coordinate and enhance the day-to-day operations of the Scolarship Program. Your focus will be on systems, engagement, coaching support, stakeholder collaboration, and program improvement - all contributing directly to the success of our Scholars.

Your core responsibilities will encompass recruitment, marketing, coaching, and fostering a supportive community for our Scholars. On a day-to-day basis, you will:

  • Coordinate and implement Scholarship Program activities in line with the Foundation's strategic objectives.
  • Support marketing and recruitment efforts in collaboration with the Marketing & Communications team.
  • Manage Scholar records and program data (budgets, applications, wellbeing needs, and progress tracking).
  • Facilitate events and initiatives, including Community of Practice sessions.
  • Provide personal and professional coaching support to Scholars.
  • Engage with external and internal stakeholders to build awareness and advocacy for the Foundation.
  • Continuously identify and implement improvements to program processes, systems, and frameworks.
  • Assist with reporting, meeting agendas, and insights to drive performance and strategic decision-making.

You are an empathetic, solution-driven individual with a proactive, "can-do" attitude, always seeking opportunities to make a positive impact. With a sharp eye for detail and a passion for continuous improvement, you thrive at streamlining processes and ensuring everything runs smoothly. Your exceptional administrative skills are complemented by your ability to build strong, united relationships within the community.

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • Project coordination, administrative, and budget planning experience
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building capabilities
  • Experience in coaching, mentoring, or personal/professional support
  • Capacity to coordinate and support events and group learning initiatives
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High-level digital literacy and the ability to work across multiple applications
  • A commitment to process improvement and data-informed decision-making
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a high-performing team
  • Tertiary qualification/s in a related field (community development/services, training, education, business administration) will be highly regarded.
