Fleet Administration Officer

Capital Transport is looking for a Compliance and Administration Officer to work as part of the Fleet Department.

Reporting to the Fleet Support Supervisor, the Administration and Compliance Officer is responsible for effectively managing the compliance of our Sub-Contractor credentials and documentation, as well as assisting in daily administration within the Fleet department.

The key focus areas of responsibility include:

  • Develop processes and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant policies and legislation.
  • Support driver and subcontractor inductions and training programs.
  • Any updates or modifications to Sub-Contractor files are accurately updated and compliant at all times.
  • Maintain accurate compliance documentation and reporting systems.
  • Assist and work closely with the Recruiters/Liaison officers with the onboarding of all new Sub-Contractor owner drivers.
  • Liaising with the Operations Managers and relevant departments on any Sub-Contractor queries.
  • Oversee and manage vehicle compliance including registration, inspections, servicing, and defect reporting.

Skills and experience

  • Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation.
  • Competent in using computers and technology.
  • Experience in following policies and procedures and, adhering to Work Health and Safety.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality.
  • Good commercial judgement.
  • Ability to work autonomously with good time management skills.
  • Powerful and effective communicator.
  • People focused with strong conflict resolution skills.
