The Role
Our leading Tax practice has an excellent opportunity for a Lawyer to join the Sydney team on a permanent, full time basis.
Specialising in Indirect Tax (stamp duty and GST) and working closely with highly regarded partner Keshni Maharaj as well as other senior practitioners across our broader Transactions group, this is an exceptional opportunity for a talented junior lawyer to join a supportive, solid and integrated team working on extremely high profile and complex transactions. Our Tax group are a team of high-performing and commercially astute professionals offering a cross-section of expertise on the accounting, financial services and corporate law aspects of taxation.
As a member of the team, you will have significant exposure to clients, assisting and working on key aspects of transactions, including negotiations and drafting. You will also work collaboratively with peers across other practice groups within the firm.
Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, you will have:
At least 2 years' post-qualified experience across a range of tax matters in a leading commercial law firm;
GST and/or stamp duty experience;
A strong academic record;
The ability to prioritise your time across a number of busy matters and confidently manage expectations;
A strong client service focus and work ethic;
Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills - required for building client relationships and maintaining a positive team environment; and
An ambitious and focused determination to take your career to the next level.
