Graduate Metallurgist

About the opportunity   

We are seeking Graduate Metallurgists who are ready to start their career within our company. We can provide both practical and office-based experience, with mentoring and guidance from some of the most experienced mining professionals in the business.  Our aim is to develop well-rounded Mets who can enjoy a successful career for years to come.

 You will have exposure to multiple processing plants as we currently have 4 plants producing over 5mtpa combined. You will have exposure to plant optimisation and gain experience in all processing functions and be involved with metallurgical procedures and sampling.   

What do I need?

• Tertiary Qualification in Extractive Metallurgy / Chemical Engineering
• Practical experience / vacation time deemed advantageous.
• Strong computer literacy skills.
• Excellent communication skills with all levels of operation 
• Possess a current and valid Manual Driver's Licence 
• Possess a National Police Clearance valid within the last 12 months 
• The ability to pass Westgold's pre-employment process
