Your Team

You'll join a Test, Environment & Release Practice team, that encompasses testing for Hollard Business, Agency Partners and Software Vendors. The team is responsible for the testing of processes and systems to support Agency Partners manage their Insurance portfolios across the Quote, Policy and Claims functions.

Your Role

Reporting to the Environment and Release Manager in the Testing, Environment and Release Practice. The Release Manager will coordinate with various teams to plan, schedule and coordinate the release activities and resolve conflicts to ensure successful releases.

We are seeking an experienced Release Manager to lead the organisation wide release strategy involving creating and maintaining enterprise-wide release calendar, ensuring alignment with program/project timelines, BAU releases and monitor and report on the progress of the enterprise-wide releases.

Your duties and responsibilities

  • Coordinate and schedule enterprise-wide releases, ensuring alignment with program/project timelines, BAU delivery timelines and business objectives
  • Manage and monitor progress of releases from inception to delivery
  • Produce deployment run books and implementation plans, including rollback strategies as required
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful releases including developing ongoing relationships with the business via EPMO
  • Implementing and managing release processes for code through development, test, and production environment

Your knowledge & experience

  • Demonstrated experience as a Release Manager in leading release activities across large scale program
  • Experience in release automation tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, GitLab CI) and must have the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Good knowledge of version control systems (Git, SVN) and deployment strategies and tools (e.g. Ansible, Chef Puppet) is required
  • Experience in creating and managing implementation plan and drive continuous improvement of the release processes
  • Strong stakeholder management skills required to communicate release details and schedules to the stakeholders.
