We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a major finance system transformation project, transitioning from SAP ECC6 to SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud. This role is part of a broader government-led Finance Modernisation Program, involving multiple agencies across Queensland.

About the Role
You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end delivery of the SAP S/4HANA implementation, working closely with internal business units, external stakeholders, and other government agencies. The role requires strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and project governance capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and execution of the SAP S/4HANA transition project
  • Collaborate with business owners and stakeholders to ensure alignment and shared outcomes
  • Deliver high-level communication and reporting to sponsors and executives
  • Apply project management methodologies (Prince2/Agile) and governance frameworks
  • Manage risks, issues, and change activities throughout the project lifecycle
  • Monitor and document benefits realisation and project outcomes
  • Prepare and present reports, submissions, and documentation for diverse audiences

About You

  • Minimum 10 years' experience in project management
  • Proven experience in financial systems implementation, ideally SAP
  • Strong background in government or public sector project delivery
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills
  • Experience in transformational change and reform initiatives
  • Ability to manage complex risks and deliver strategic outcomes
  • Exceptional communication and documentation skills

Highly Regarded

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Analysis, Information Systems or related field
  • Formal project/program management qualifications (Prince2, Agile, PMBOK)
