Vertiv is seeking to add a Operations Manager - Commissioning to our high performing APAC team based in Sydney

Position Summary

The purpose of this position is to manage, plan and direct the service startup activities of Thermal and Power Service in ANZ, manage execution of the startup team to achieve sales targets within budget and ensure the company image is maintained and upheld at all times

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the division is operated in an efficient manner and a high standard of customer service is provided.
  • Develop project plans and manage resources to support the project execution team.
  • Work collaboratively with Senior Service Director to prepare forecasts, manage the sales group's P&L, including orders, sales and SG&A as per the finance process
  • Ensure purchasing procedures are followed & control local expenses within budget & levels of responsibility.
  • Liaise with project & service operations team ensuring projects have appropriate resources.
  • Ensure Spare stocks & materials are adequate to requirements & conduct stock takes.
  • Report to Director, Service ANZ monthly & highlight National issues when they arise.
  • Assist in training and participate in customer demonstration or promotional seminars.
  • Prepare & develop reports & analyses of business achievements, opportunities & performance against plan KPIs to ensure compliance with Vertiv's reporting protocols.
  • Review, develop & communicate policies & procedures to create high performance
  • Develop understanding & manage complete sales activities process ensuring effective salesperson productivity.
  • Identify opportunities to expand project services offering & make direct representation to prospects & customers to expand the service business.
  • Work collaboratively with Service Director to develop short/ long term business plans
  • Initiate & lead extensive range of projects to increase operational sales performance
  • Ensure timesheets are completed correctly, countersign with Supervisor and forward to pay office by the due date, with accompanying paperwork e.g.: Doctors Certificate if required

Requirements:

  • Business Management qualification Desirable
  • Trade or Engineering qualifications Desirable
  • Experience servicing Critical Infrastructure in a 24/7 environment
  • People management experience essential
  • Business Process Improvement & Forecasting
