We're looking for an Accounts Payable Officer to join a LG finance team in a prestigious inner-eastern location (think tree-lined streets, boutique cafés, and a strong sense of community).

The Role

As an integral part of the Accounts Payable function, you'll ensure the creditors are paid accurately and on time, in line with statutory requirements, policies, and procedures. You'll work closely with colleagues across all levels of the organisation, liaising with suppliers, auditors, and other stakeholders to maintain the highest standards of financial administration.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Processing creditor invoices, ensuring compliance with taxation and organisational standards.
  • Managing ad hoc payment requests, grants, refunds, and reimbursements with care and accuracy.
  • Maintaining and reconciling supplier accounts, liaising to resolve queries efficiently.
  • Supporting colleagues with accounts payable guidance and advice.
  • Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement to streamline processes and enhance service.

About You

  • Proven experience in an accounts payable function within a medium to large organisation.
  • Solid understanding of accounting and accounts payable principles.
  • High-level computer literacy, with strong spreadsheet and system skills.
  • Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
  • The ability to multitask, adapt, and thrive under pressure.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build lasting relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A proactive mindset with a flair for explaining complex processes clearly.
