Burns & Co Auctions has established itself as a national brand and leader in the delivery of Auction services over a very short period of time, focusing on classic and collectable motor cars and motorcycles, memorabilia, collectables, museum dispersals, estates etc.

Since its inception in 2015 Burns & Co Auctions has become a household name with a very strong following in our chosen field and with state of the art auction facilities in both Bayswater, Melbourne and in Beresfield (Newcastle), N.S.W. Further expansion into South Australia is in the planning and will compete our desire to offer a truly national service. Our head office is located in Bayswater, Melbourne.

The Marketing Manager plays a key role in the business with a strong focus on developing and promoting the company brand by managing and improving the company website and its content, design and create graphics, adverts and catalogues, manage our database and have a major involvement in our day to day social media activities with Facebook (over 120,000 followers), Instagram, You Tube and Google along with creating editorials, testimonials and the like.

You will play a major role in the expansion of the business into South Australia, which may require travel to view the site and includes organising all branding of buildings, inside and out and press releases etc.

Experience with WordPress, Adobe Suite (specifically InDesign and Photoshop), Mailchimp and all social media platforms would be a distinct advantage as would be the ability to take quality photos and videos of various subjects at given times including motor vehicles, special entries, collections etc.

The role will ideally suit a person who has had the ability to show leadership, as the Marketing Manager forms part of our management group (you will work very closely with the Director, Ashley Burns and the Auto team manager, Anton Cooper) and you will oversee and manage the workload of our Marketing Assistant. You will like a busy workplace and want to be involved in further growth of the business and the brand.

Some interstate travel may be required to carry out specific marketing and promotional activities, such as being involved in off site auctions as well as speaking with and building rapport with our vendors (gaining the back story, testimonials etc). There will be the odd weekend where you are needed to attend an offsite auction, a special event and all our classic car auctions are carried out over weeknights which will require some involvement and availability.

The successful applicant will show excellent computer skills, be well presented and spoken, have an eye for detail, have a current motor vehicle license and ideally live reasonably close to our Bayswater facility. Some general interest in motor cars and associated memorabilia would be deemed an advantage but not essential. The role really suits someone with strong administrative, computer, management and proven marketing skills.
