What You Will Get To Do:
The Head of Operational Excellence will spearhead the development and execution of a comprehensive operational excellence and client change strategy, closely aligned with our strategic objectives. Leading cross-functional teams, this role will focus on identifying opportunities to enhance process quality and productivity. Additionally, the Head of Operational Excellence will ensure client change initiatives contribute to the creation of scalable, flexible operational frameworks that prioritise long-term client value and strengthen relationships. A passion for driving transformational agendas is balanced with a commitment to strong governance, ensuring consistent, reliable outcomes.

Develop and implement an operational excellence strategy that aligns with business objectives to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation across departments, driving collaboration and a focus on best practices.

Collaborate with senior leadership to integrate operational excellence into the corporate strategy and ensure alignment with long-term business goals.

Identify inefficiencies in processes and implement Lean, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies to optimise operations.

Define and track key performance metrics (KPIs) to measure operational effectiveness and ensure continuous improvement across business units.

Drive the adoption of technology and automation (including AI, RPA, and analytics) to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency.

Oversee a portfolio of operational excellence initiatives, ensuring they align with business priorities, and effectively allocate resources to maximise impact.

Ensure operational improvement projects deliver measurable value and align with strategic goals, monitoring ROI and adjusting priorities as necessary.

Identify cost-saving opportunities and optimise resource utilisation, enhancing profitability and operational efficiency.

Develop and implement employee training programs to build capabilities in Lean, Six Sigma, and process optimisation techniques.

Mitigate operational risks by identifying, assessing, and addressing potential risks while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and quality standards.

Collaborate with finance, HR, IT, and other departments to align operational strategies and drive cross-functional improvements.
-
Engage stakeholders at all levels to ensure buy-in for operational improvements, and act as a bridge between leadership and frontline teams for effective execution.
What You Will Bring:

Expertise in project management, with a strong ability to manage multiple projects and engage stakeholders across all levels.

Proficient in change management, securing buy-in, and driving successful transformation initiatives.

In-depth knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and other process improvement frameworks, with experience using tools like value stream mapping and root cause analysis.

10 years of leadership experience in Operational Excellence, Process Improvement, or Business Transformation roles.
-
Strong track record in leading cross-functional teams, complex projects, and multi-site transformations.
-
Bachelor's degree preferred; certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen are advantageous.

Familiar with relevant regulations, including the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth).
