Maintenance Officer/Handyperson Role - Static Site Parramatta - $70,000 to $80,000

Your new company

This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of Sydney's prestigious private schools in the Parramatta region. My client is currently looking to add additional staff to their facilities and maintenance team, which already consists of six team members, and they are looking to add further staff after looking to expand the team further to ensure the facilities are kept to a high standard.

Your new role

As a Maintenance Officer/Handyperson with the school, you will be responsible for a variety of maintenance and general facilities tasks working as part of a team. Your general responsibilities will be as followed :

  • Painting/Patching
  • Minor Carpentry
  • Minor renovations
  • Basic plumbing such as leaky taps, changing seals or blockages.
  • Minor electrical work such as changing light globes.
  • Event set-up work, such as setting up exam halls, functions or other events.
  • Use of online reporting system
  • Communicating with internal stakeholders such as teachers and operational staff.
  • Adhering to health and safety standards

What you'll need to succeed

  • Previous maintenance experience or transferable trade experience
  • Carpentry qualifications are highly regarded.
  • Ability to pass a Working with Children Check
  • Ability to pass a Police Check
  • Basic computer skills
