Maintenance Officer

 Government Role | $50.88/hr + Super | Parramatta & Hybrid Work

About the role:

  • Position: Maintenance Officer
  • Rate: $50.88 per hour + Super (PAYG) or $50.88 flat rate (ABN)
  • Duration: ASAP start – 31 July 2026
  • Hours: 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
  • Location: 6 Parramatta Square, 10 Darcy Street, Parramatta (50% hybrid – flexible work options)

The Maintenance Officer plays a key role in managing property maintenance and repairs, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and high-quality service delivery. You'll liaise with Managing Agents and service providers, oversee maintenance programs, and ensure compliance with government standards and procurement guidelines.

Key accountabilities:

  • Oversee and monitor contractors and Managing Agents to ensure works are completed to required standards, timelines, and budgets.
  • Analyse maintenance data, identify performance issues, and recommend service improvements.
  • Develop and maintain maintenance standards, documentation, and guidelines.
  • Ensure all works comply with relevant policies, legislation, and government procurement rules.
  • Build positive working relationships with internal teams, Managing Agents, and stakeholders to support effective service delivery.

Essential requirements:

  • Current NSW Class C Driver's Licence.
  • General Construction Induction Card (White Card).
  • Ability to travel to remote locations when required, sometimes at short notice.
  • Successful candidates will be required to undertake police and reference checks via Fit2Work.
