A community based Not-For-Profit require the assistance of a highly experienced Payroll Officer to join their Finance team.  You will love the organisational values and feel supported in your role. In this stand-alone role you will have the ability to make it your own and add value through your experience and improvements.  If you are community minded and are seeking a new opportunity, this could be the perfect role for you  

The Role 

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for the end to end payroll function, 

  • Processing fortnightly payroll for approx. 500 employees
  • Multiple Award and EA interpretation
  • Preparation and calculations of superannuation and payroll tax
  • Processing new starters and terminations and long service payments
  • Processing leave and entitlements
  • Payroll reconciliations and reporting
  • Dealing with payroll queries in a timely manner and providing excellent customer service

About You 

The successful applicant will have/be, 

  • Highly experienced in end to end payroll
  • Strong understanding of payroll legislation
  • Ability to interpret and apply multiple Awards and EA's
  • Experience in a stand-alone positions
  • Well developed communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work autonomously
  • A positive and professional team player
