
Construction Industry Pathways Program Officer

As a Construction Industry Pathways Program Officer you'll play a key role in shaping the future of Tasmania's building and construction industry by promoting career pathways to school students and job seekers, coordinating training and employment readiness programs, and supporting individuals as they take their first steps into the industry. Working closely with schools, job service providers, and a wide range of industry stakeholders, you'll promote opportunities across the sector and help ensure our future workforce is informed, supported and inspired.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

Coordinating and delivering school visits, pathway presentations and job expos to promote careers in the building and construction industry

Supporting the delivery of MBT's pre-employment and workforce development programs in the north and north-west
-
Managing program logistics, communications and scheduling, including reporting and evaluation

Developing and maintaining relationships with schools, employers and community organisations to support program growth
-
Supporting the continuous improvement of programs and initiatives through feedback, innovation and collaboration
This full-time, fixed contract role is based out of our Launceston or Devonport office, supporting the north and north-west regions. Frequent travel is required to fulfil the responsibilities of the position, with occasional travel to other regions as required.
The successful applicant will be required to undertake a National Police Check and pre-employment medical as pre-requisites to their engagement, and maintain Working With Vulnerable People registration and a current driver's license as part of their ongoing employment.
