About the role

Catholic Homes is seeking an experienced Home Care Senior Scheduling Officer to join our Home Care team. This is a permanent full-time position based at our head office in Burswood.

The purpose of this position is to provide assistance to the Scheduling Team Leader with day-to-day operations within the scheduling team, and to provide effective delivery of all aspects of a safe and high-quality rostering service to Catholic Homes Incorporated Home Care Clients, their families and employees.

Our Home Care team builds lasting relationships with our clients so that they may stay at home for longer or help them get out into the community to do the things they still love to do.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Assist and supervise the Scheduling Team Leader and Support Workers, including arranging buddy shifts and on-the-job assessments for new staff.
  • Schedule client services and maintain efficient rosters to ensure safe, high-quality care that meets clients' holistic and daily living needs.
  • Support clients to live independently at home by assisting with personal care, domestic tasks, and social needs.
  • Collaborate with Case Managers, Clinical Teams, and other managers to address client concerns and improve service delivery.
  • Assist with onboarding, training, and identifying training gaps for Scheduling Officers and the scheduling team.
  • Monitor client support effectiveness, report changes in client conditions promptly, and escalate significant risks to the Scheduling Team Leader.
  • Participate in payroll tasks, after-hours on-call roster, and attend meetings on behalf of the Scheduling Team Leader when required.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by testing and researching enhancements for rostering systems and daily service provision.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Aged Care scheduling and rostering experience in a Home Care/Community setting.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organisational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise.
  • Confident working to tight deadlines in a fast-paced working environment.
  • Sound understanding of the SCHADS Award and demonstrated experience interpreting the Award, ensuring rostering compliance, industrial instruments and roster optimisation.
  • High-level customer service and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of the geographical locations both metro and regional.
  • Current National Police Clearance.
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office suite and scheduling systems. (eCase highly desirable but not essential as quite new in market).
  • Occasional on-call coverage may be required to cover staff leave.
