Australian Fishing Enterprises based in Port Lincoln South Australia are seeking a motivated reliable individual keen on undertaking a Diesel Mechanical Apprenticeship. This is a fulltime opportunity based at our Workshop on Windsor Avenue where you will report to our Maintenance Manager and be a part of a dynamic fast paced team and will have the opportunity for a career within our Group. As an Apprentice you will assist in all facets of the Maintenance/Mechanical team whilst learning on the job.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist mechanics in undertaking Diesel Mechanic duties and mechanical duties
  • Assist in performing maintenance checks on machinery on a regular basis
  • Assist with the maintenance and repair/service of plant & equipment as required
  • Assist to diagnose and resolve mechanical faults
  • Demonstrate care and safety in all areas of the workplace
  • Ability to read and comprehend workshop and service manuals

YOUR ATTRIBUTES

  • You will need to be enthusiastic, well presented, hardworking and have a great mechanical aptitude
  • You must have a current driver's licence & vehicle
  • You will need to have a great attention to detail & problem-solving skills
  • You will be required to attend on the job training as well as Trade school as required
