Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a wide range of dishes to menu and presentation standards
  • Ensure consistency in flavour, portioning, and presentation across all services
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service during peak times
  • Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness at all times
  • Assist with stock management, ordering, and inventory control
  • Contribute to menu development, daily specials, and new ideas
  • Support and mentor junior team members as required
  • Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum qualification: Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (mandatory)
  • Certificate IV or Diploma in Hospitality/Management (desirable)
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a commercial kitchen
  • Sound knowledge of food safety regulations and handling procedures
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple tasks
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and dedicated to maintaining high standards
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required
