Training Administrator

CSA Mine is looking for a dedicated Training Administrator to join our team. This role is pivotal in supporting the efficient coordination and administration of training programs, ensuring all employees are equipped with the skills and certifications required to maintain a safe and high-performance work environment. You'll play an essential role in a team committed to delivering top-tier training and development in one of the world's most iconic mining districts.
About Us
CSA Mine is one of Australia's longest operating copper mines with a history stretching back almost 150 years. At 1.9 kilometres deep, CSA is the second deepest copper mine in Australia and the third highest copper grade in the world. Located near the NSW town of Cobar, CSA Mine employs around 550 people and produces approximately 40,000 tonnes of copper concentrate per year. The ore is mined and processed on site and then transported by rail 700km to the Port of Newcastle for export.
We are proud to have recently joined Harmony Australasia. Harmony is the largest gold producer by volume in South Africa and is a significant operator of gold tailings retreatment facilities. In Papua New Guinea, Harmony owns and operates the Hidden Valley mine and owns 50% of the Tier 1 Wafi-Golpu copper-gold project. In Australia, Harmony owns the high-gradeCSA copper minein Cobar, NSW and is currently preparing to progress the Execution Phase of the Eva Copper Mine Project in QLD. These assets are supported by the Harmony Australasia regional corporate office located in Milton, Brisbane.
About the role
As the Training Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating various training programs across CSA Mine. Your role will focus on ensuring training schedules are adhered to, employee qualifications are up-to-date, and all training materials and documentation are organized and compliant with company standards.
· Managing training records: Updating and maintaining accurate records of employee training, certifications, and competencies in relevant systems.
· Scheduling training sessions: Coordinating and scheduling both internal and external training events, ensuring employees receive the necessary training for compliance and skill development.
· Training administration: Preparing training materials, booking trainers, managing training venues, and ensuring all logistics are in place for seamless delivery of training programs.
· Tracking training outcomes: Monitoring and reporting on employee progress through training programs, helping to identify any gaps or additional training needs.
· Providing training support: Acting as a point of contact for employees seeking information or assistance with training programs, and coordinating any necessary follow-up actions.
· Contributing to continuous improvement: Providing feedback on training processes, identifying areas for improvement, and suggesting enhancements to increase training effectiveness and employee engagement.
· Document Control: Maintain and update the site Document Management System (DMS) ensuring controlled documents, procedures, and forms are current.
The successful applicant will have:
· Proven experience in training administration or coordination (experience in mining or safety administration preferred).
· Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
· Excellent attention to detail and record accuracy.
· Confident communicator with strong written and verbal skills across all levels of the business.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
· Experience with systems such as SAP/Pronto, INX, SitePass, or SharePoint is highly regarded.
· Customer-focused mindset with a proactive and solution-driven approach.
· High attention to detail, particularly when managing and updating training records and documentation
· Identifying opportunities to simplify processes, strengthen data accuracy, and enhance overall training and document control performance across the site.
Qualifications and Experience
· Certificate III or IV in Business Administration, Training, or Records Management (desirable).
· Minimum two years' experience in administration, document control, or training support.
· Previous exposure to mining, construction, or heavy industry environments will be well regarded.
Conditions
This is a residential position and is offered on a 5/2, 4/3 roster. CSA also provides Pool & Gym Reimbursements to our employees and their dependants.

Located an eight-hour drive to Sydney, nine-hour drive to Melbourne, and a quick three-hour drive to Dubbo, Cobar is a fascinating town rich in mining heritage and natural attractions.
