The Role

With a new depot in Keysborough and a strong pipeline of work, we are seeking experienced NDD Operators to join our valued team.

Successful candidates will join a tightknit local team in Melbourne's South-East and be members of the broader QEST NDD and Industrial Operations team located throughout Victoria, South Australia and Queensland.

This position will work on a variety of construction and site-based projects.

The role of an Operator will suit an individual who is hard working and enjoys working outdoors, this role is around 20% driving and 80% on the tools.

Role requirements:

  • Driving HR Truck with Hydro excavation unit
  • Non-destructive digging with high pressure water to safely locate underground services
  • Drain cleaning
  • Work independently and in line with all safety guidelines to highest possible efficiencies.
  • Liaise and assist clients on site as required ensuring they receive a first-class service from the QEST team.
  • Complete relevant paperwork for each job.
  • Adhere to all Company and legislative WHS policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work extended hours if required.

About You

To be successful in this role, candidates will have:

  • Ideally at least 3 years relevant experience working in a similar role.
  • White Card.
  • Heavy Rigid Drivers Licence.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Rail Industry Worker Card (RIW) - an advantage.
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment medical and pass any/all random drug and alcohol tests.
