The Role
The Demand & Supply Planner is a critical role responsible for the management and execution of the planning regime for selected categories through our Supply Chain to meet the service expectations of the growing 7-Eleven store network. The objective of this being to lead in-store product availability, optimise inventory, provide causal analysis to enhance decision making and support the resolution of demand and supply issues across our network.
With a focus on improving product availability and customer service without compromising working capital and efficiency, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of the consensus demand plan, inventory and replenishment plans with consideration of the impacts to the category ambitions.
You will have previously worked in a high performing and fast paced team environment, utilising the RELEX Advanced planning system, you will manage the inventory, forecast and replenishment of our exciting and innovative Impulse Snacking (Confectionery & Snacks) category.
To be considered for this exciting opportunity you will have previous experience in:
- Advanced Planning Systems to manage the Demand & Supply of ranges.
- Building consensus demand, inventory and replenishment plan incorporating historical analysis & market insight gathered in conjunction with the Category & Marketing teams.
- Collating and distributing forecasts, generate & input to information decks for relevant meetings within the S&OP process.
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders with the ability to demonstrate positivity, enthusiasm and effectively act with urgency.
- Leading, owning and delivering weekly Sales and Operational Execution (S&OE) forums and monthly vendor engagements.
- Analyses and delivers data driven insights that are meaningful, enhance decision making and support the growth & performance of the category and business.
- Ensure that all the planning specific supply chain processes are coordinated to ensure effective and successful delivery of products to the stores.
- Monitor availability issues and devise solutions for the identified issues, escalating where required and appropriate.
What's in your toolkit?
- Experience in demand and/or supply planning, preferably within a retail environment and high performing ranges or portfolios.
- Good business acumen and an understanding of the inter-relationships between each function
- Proven ability in manage, monitor and resolve Supply chain risk with internal and external stakeholders
- A continuous improvement mindset to identifying and improving ways of working.
- Demonstrated proficiency with data analytics, statistics and forecasting
- Experience in working with large sets of data to drive insights
- Knowledge of Advanced planning systems and Power BI would be beneficial
