About the role
As a Demand Planner, your primary purpose, is to ensure high quality forecasts are developed & manage product demand to achieve optimal inventory levels and meet customer needs while exploring ways to minimise costs.
You will work cross-functionally to incorporate business intelligence with critical inputs/projections, such as promotions, sales growth and seasonality and communicate forecasts in consultation with Planning Manager to the wider teams in a clear and purposeful manner.
In addition to the above, you will very closely with Purchasing and Distribution teams and provide key support to both the product and supply chain teams. Upholding the core values of the organisation and the supply chain team principles you will play a critical role with a strategic first-hand approach and commercial insight to help drive smart, data driven decisions across the business.
Your skills and experience
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Demand Planning or on the job experience from supply chain, inventory, or production planning roles.
- 3-5 years' experience in demand planning, supply planning, inventory control or similar forecasting roles.
- Proven history of working with ERP, preferably NetSuite.
- Experience in FMCG, manufacturing or retail environments.
- Exposure to promotional planning, product launches and end of life inventory management.
- Advance Excell skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas, and data modelling).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Problem solving ability.
- Prior experience dealing with demand planning situations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other business intelligence tools
